Finance Director

Our client, a dynamic and successful niche player in the commercial development and leisure market was seeking a Finance Director for its London Head Office. The successful candidate would be a high profile member of a focused, motivated and enthusiastic management team and would be expected to contribute strategically, commercially and operationally towards the delivery of business vision and objectives.

The ideal appointee, a qualified accountant, would be a senior professional with strong interpersonal and negotiating skills, had to be able to demonstrate a proven track record of success and achievement within a fast moving, customer and results orientated environment and would also possess a strong understanding of technology and its application.

To attract the right individual, we supplemented our search activities with advertising in the worldwide edition of a leading UK publication. Following an extensive interview process, the successful candidate was appointed and has progressed within the organisation to become Managing Director.

Director of Audit & Enterprise Risk

Our client, a multi-site leader in their field, approached us regarding the appointment of a Director of Audit and Enterprise Risk to their senior management team. Reporting to the Chairman and working closely with the Board and senior management throughout the Group, the successful appointee would have a challenging and wide ranging remit designed to provide internal control and risk assurance to the Board and Audit Committee.

Candidates were most likely to be Internal Audit/Risk professionals or Chartered Accountants who had had 'big firm' training. It was envisaged that candidates would either possess internal audit or risk management experience within a fast moving and progressive company of scale, or within one of the major accounting firms.

As part of a composite recruitment strategy, an extensive search of relevant target candidates was undertaken along with an advertisement in a leading national publication. Following this process and an extensive interview programme, the successful candidate was appointed.

Group Head of Human Resources

Our client, an independent market leader in its field, wished to appoint a Group Head of HR to spearhead all of the organisation's HR activities throughout the UK business. Based in the group's largest operating facility in Scotland, the successful appointee would have a functional reporting line to the Group Managing Director. The role would, however, also include close day-to-day liaison with the senior management teams of the Group’s other operating companies and sites in the North of England, Scotland and London.

The successful appointee would be CIPD qualified, possessing wide-ranging generalist experience, coupled with a proven track record of achievement within a results and customer-orientated environment.

To source the right individual, an advertisement was run in a relevant professional journal to attract candidates with the required skill set and experience, and this was supplemented by a number of highly targeted direct and discreet approaches by Fletcher Jones. Following an extensive interview process the successful candidate was appointed from amongst those individuals approached directly by Fletcher Jones.
